Social Market Economy: An Economic Model for Lebanon?
LCPS hosted a workshop which examined the origins of the SME concept and whether it could be applied to the socio-economic system in Lebanon. The workshop explored the political and historical conditions in Germany which allowed for a SME to exist there and then looked at Lebanon’s similarities to see if it could implement the same system. The workshop was attended by leading thinkers and scholars from among Lebanon and Germany’s most prominent institutions.
The event was held in collaboration with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung.
