February 24, 2012 Lebanon’s Economic Challenges: Political Instability and Job Creation
LCPS hosted a workshop which sought to address two of the main challenges facing the Lebanese economy: political instability and job creation. In the first session participants discussed the impact of political instability on the economy in order to devise ways to mitigate its effects. The second session included an examination of the question of youth employment in Lebanon in order to help decision-makers better identify the measures needed to address the problem. The question of whether Lebanese youth have the necessary skills to find employment in the private sector was also addressed.
The event was hosted in coordination with the National Endowment for Democracy.
