The National Issues Forum (NIF), is a grass roots deliberative policy program organized by the LCPS in cooperation with the Young Men Christian Association (YMCA), and the Kettering Foundation. The NIF program aims at inviting citizens to deliberate on a variety of policy issues related to their daily lives. People participating in these forums are from different social and political backgrounds. Moderators help them learn how to listen to each other, how to see the pros and cons of different views on public issues and how to make choices that will benefit the whole community.

To facilitate deliberations in forums, the LCPS has prepared and published booklets dealing with specific issues such as the environment in Lebanon, the health care system in Lebanon, Lebanese women's participation in public life, and Confessionalism in Lebanon. These booklets are distributed during the forums.
