To build on the previous conference on the Judiciary sector, the LCPS has launched and completed a research project on the challenges facing judicial sector and the need for judicial reform. The study was undertaken with support from the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAF) and a number of legal analysts and researchers.
As part of the project, the Lebanese Center for Policy Studies (LCPS) held a two-day conference on the Prospects of the Judicial System in Lebanon. The speakers at the conference included some of the most prominent judges in Lebanon. They addressed various aspects of the judicial system in post-war Lebanon. LCPS has published the study as well as the conference papers in a book entitled: The Lebanese Judiciary: State Building and Institutional Development.
