With Support from the Ford Foundation and in cooperation with research centers in Palestine, Jordan, and Egypt, the LCPS will be participating in the analysis of a regional public opinion poll on the development of democracy. The LCPS will be overseeing the implementation of the opinion poll of a random sample of 1350 people from all Lebanese regions. The field work will be carried out by 40 trained interviewers who will form teams of four, and who will be directed by a team leader.

As a start, a sample of 50 pilot surveys will be conducted in February, and the rest of the survey will be conducted in March and completed by mid April 1998.
