The Report's Authors
Said Hitti is the principle author of this report, and an economist with more than thirty years' experience in dealing with economic and financial issues in the Middle East. He was educated at the American University of Beirut, London School of Economics, and Saint Antony's College, Oxford University.
Kamal S. Shehadi, Phd, is a previous director of research at the Lebanese Center for Policy Studies and managing director of Financial Intelligence Services, a rating agency. He also serves on the Board of Director on the Lebanese Businessman Association (RDCL). Dr. Shehadi has studied and taught international political economy at both Harvard University and Columbia University.
Rana Houry is Research Associate at the Lebanese Center for Policy
Studies. She holds a Master's Degree in economics
from the American University of Beirut and was a trainee at the Ministry
of Finance and at the Central Bank of Lebanon.
