In its pursuit to improve vocational schools in Lebanon, the Near East Foundation (NEF), supported the development of several vocational training institutions in Lebanon during 1992 and 1995. In this context, the LCPS served as the official representative of the NEF in Lebanon and was in charge of regular follow-up on schools which the NEF supported. This included regular visits to the institution's premises, the overseeing of program implementation, the submission of annual reports on the condition of the institutions, as well as the submission of useful proposals and suggestions regarding NEF's program in Lebanon.
