Reconstruction in the Absence of the State: The Role of the Order of Engineers and Architects
The Beirut Port explosion left hundreds of victims, and thousands of injured and homeless. In the absence of a state and institutions that can provide the minimum for a rescue plan equal to the size of the disaster, LCPS directed some questions to Jad Tabet, the architect who fought for reconstructing Beirut in the 1990s, but also to Tabit, the head of the Engineers Syndicate, in one of the most difficult historical stages in which Lebanon is going.
