    Christelle Barakat is a researcher at the Lebanese Center for Policy Studies. She is a recent Lebanese Fulbright Foreign Student program graduate from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, holding a M.A. in Peace and Conflict Studies with a concentration on International Peace Development. She also holds a B.A. in Political Science and International Affairs with high distinction from the Lebanese American University where she was additionally part of the honors program, with 3 minors in Conflict Analysis and Resolution, Gender Studies, and Legal Studies. Her areas of interest include conflict analysis and resolution, disarmament, globalization, migration and refugee studies, and women and gender studies, among others. Christelle was selected by the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs in New York as 1 of 10 United Nations Youth Champions for Disarmament (2020-2022) and as 1 of 25 Leaders 4 Tomorrow (2022).
