Fiscal Transparency in Lebanon: A Pathway to Stronger Governance
- Nadine Merhi

In this policy brief, Nadine Merhi examines the key challenges undermining fiscal transparency in Lebanon, including weak implementation of existing laws, fragmented oversight institutions, limited access to reliable fiscal data, and low levels of citizen participation. The brief proposes short, medium, and long-term reforms to strengthen institutional capacity and coordination, improve digital infrastructure and public access to financial information, and enhance citizen engagement. These measures aim to reinforce accountability, improve governance, and restore public trust in state institutions.
